Powerful prompted journal, instant digital download, get started immediately!
I understand what it's like: you want to lose weight but when you're struggling with emotional eating it can be a challenge to get any weight off at all (I've been there, I know what it's like!)
Even though you know you should be eating healthy and living fit, it can be like a tug of war between "your food" and the healthy choices you know you should be making.
When you haven't addressed your emotional relationship with food it's often easier to just give in and tell yourself you'll start over on Monday. But what happens when that Monday is always next Monday, and then next Monday, and never today?
You know the saying, "Calories in calories out"? You would think that if you spend hours in the gym that you should be losing weight, right?
Well if you've ever experienced the frustration when that hasn't worked, one reason can be because of your emotional eating. When you can't control your eating and you're eating too much, your workouts won't make a dent on the scale.
I understand, I've been there before too, but you don't want to stay there any longer, right?! ;-)
When you want to get control of your eating so that you can shape up and then maintain your ideal weight, it can be really frustrating to do all the right things, only to end up feeling restricted.
Eating clean is fantastic, living a healthy lifestyle is great, but if you feel restricted because you haven't addressed your emotional ties to food, then what ends up happening?
It becomes too easy to slide back into old habits and regain the weight you lost when your food issues weren't addressed by your healthy eating plan. But the thing is... a food diet is not supposed to address your emotional relationship with food.
See..... you can know all about nutrition and exercise, but if you haven't addressed your relationship with food (especially your mental and emotional ties to food), then you can only get so far with your weight loss goals by dieting.
Eventually you end up hitting that emotional wall where you snap back like a rubberband into old eating habits.
It can happen so quickly that it almost seems like you gain all the weight back overnight. Sure, you're not feeling restricted anymore, but then you have the same old problems of overeating and overweight to deal with due to your emotional eating.
Emotional eating is not about physical hunger, therefore it's not something that can be solved just by cutting back, dieting, and exercising. You need more than a food diet if you want to lose weight when you're an emotional eater.
You'll be able to become more mindful of your eating habits
You will take a journey of healing your emotional eating
You'll get to loosen the ties that food holds over you and your everyday life
After you shift your relationship with food you'll naturally be able to make changes to your lifestyle routine without feeling restricted and resentful.
A prompt is a sentence or question (sometimes one of each) that I have authored in Beyond the Plate for each of the 21 days.
Each daily prompt is unique. I've put this together for you based on my 15 years of professional coaching with weight loss coaching clients.
The power of journaling with a prompted journal is that each day's prompt causes you to think about your relationship with food in a way you may not have considered before while giving you a structure to journal on.
Show up for yourself daily, a minimum of 5 minutes, get distraction-free and journal on that day's prompt! I've put it all together for you in Beyond the Plate to make it easy peasy to follow along for 21 days.
You can either print out the 21 journal pages to journal pen on paper on each page or you can use a notebook and each day write that day's prompt at the top of your paper and then journal on that prompt for a minimum of 5 minutes. It's important to journal pen on paper, distraction free. This helps you connect with yourself in a way you might not be used to, especially with all of the distractions and screens in most people's daily lives.
You might be thinking, "Hey, can't I just journal on my own? What's the big deal?!"
I get it, and something to be aware of is that this can be part of your resistance to taking a look at your relationship with food. After all, when food is your life, it can be a touchy thing to change it.
I understand. But you have to ask yourself "What do I want?". Do you want to stay in your comfort zone with your emotional eating where you don't get the weight loss you want? Honestly, if you're happy struggling with your weight or being overweight then stop reading now. ;-)
But if you want to lose weight and your emotional eating keeps getting in the way then let's take a look at why Beyond the Plate is 10X more powerful than sitting down on your own to try and journal freeform.
Journaling can be a powerful weight loss tool when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise regime. But when you journal without any structure it's common to get stuck, sitting there with pen in hand and a blank page in front of you.
It's easy to eat and it's harder to face your emotions and thoughts about food and yourself, especially after years of trying to numb out with food and stuff it all down.
When you take it step-by-step though, make a commitment to yourself to journal daily using Beyond the Plate for a minimum of 5 minutes, then you won't have a blank page to stare at because you'll receive a unique daily prompt to journal on for each of the 21 days. Wonderful!
If you want to get to your goal weight you can do it but it will be extremely difficult (if not impossible) if you do not address your emotional eating. Does this make sense?
You see, dieting alone without addressing why you became overweight in the first place can only get you so far.
Dieting is a band aid on the symptom of your overweight while not healing the eating problems that put the weight on your bod. Even if you were able to force yourself to your goal weight, if you do that without addressing your emotional eating, how fast will you regain the weight?
You'll have instant access and save 39% when you order before the timer hits zero.
Before you begin Day One of your 21 days of powerfully prompted journaling in Beyond the Plate, go to page 6 and complete the simple exercise there. This is very important to be able to measure and celebrate your progress in your journey of emotional eating healing in Beyond the Plate.
This Page Expires When The Timer Hits Zero.
The journal is a digital product. After purchasing, you'll receive an email with instructions about how to download the journal.
Beyond the Plate is a 21-day journey of daily journaling with powerful daily prompts to help you become more mindful of your eating habits and your relationship with food so that you can choose to make changes to your eating behaviors when you are ready. Beyond the Plate does not include a food diet but instead this emotional eating journal helps you repair your relationship with food, and with yourself.
You can make progress journaling per the prompt in just 5 minutes minimum per day. If you wish to journal longer than 5 minutes you can. What's most important is showing up for yourself daily for those 5 minutes of distraction-free journaling to explore your relationship with food.
What makes Beyond the Plate different is instead of free-form journaling you will receive a powerful daily prompt each day for 21 days to journal on. Each prompt is different and is designed to help you become more mindful of your relationship with food so that you can begin to make new decisions in your eating choices.
How much weight you lose will depend on several factors including what you are eating, how much you are eating, your physical activity, and how consistent you are with all of it. We cannot guarantee a certain amount of weight loss since that is ultimately in your control.
You could certainly grab a pen and paper right now and start journaling about your emotional eating without structure. You won't get the same results as you will from journaling 21 consecutive days following the prompts in Beyond the Plate because each day contains a new, unique prompt to journal on. The prompts will give you new ways of looking at things, new ideas that can be hard to think of on your own when you're immersed in your struggle.
It can be very easy to get stuck in a rut with emotional eating (I understand, I've been there!) and when journaling on your own most tend to get stuck in the story since they cannot see beyond their comfort zone. In Beyond the Plate just keep an open mind, follow the prompts, and journal on each prompt for the 21 days without trying to be perfect. There is no right or wrong to what you write but you will want to stay on topic with each prompt. This will prompt you (no pun intended) into areas it's hard to imagine on your own, for the purpose of exploring your relationship with food and yourself.
Since this is a digital download product, there are no refunds. If you have any questions before purchasing please reach out to us here in email.
